OVERVIEW
We live our lives and conduct our business in one of Europe’s last true wildernesses.
Swedish Lapland is a vast, beautiful region with tall mountains reaching up to the sky, endless forests, and wide river valleys, all full of wildlife.
Lapland is also the home of the Sami, the indigenous people of the region, whose culture and lifestyle are deeply rooted in the area, providing a rich cultural heritage.
This is an awe-inspiring place that commands respect and thoughtfulness from the people inhabiting its lands. For us at Icemakers, it is important to conduct our business here in a sustainable fashion, making the most out of the unique conditions we are operating in while at the same time doing what we can to limit the negative impacts on the natural and cultural landscape around us.

Temperatures in the Arctic and subarctic regions are rising faster than the global average, which has several serious consequences:
Our business and the decisions we make both in our daily operations and at a strategic level shall be guided by an awareness and an active commitment to promoting environmentally beneficial and long-term sustainable practices.
To achieve this, we shall:
All our buildings are powered by 100% renewable energy from wind and water
All new company cars must be chargeable, full electric or hybrid
When buying new machinery, the new vehicle must have a better emission standard than the one it replaces
Whenever possible, electric machines are prioritized
Icemakers actively sponsor multiple national, regional and local organizations promoting environmental, social & economic sustainability
Our extensive EV-charging infrastructure help our customers develop the less polluting cars of the future
Our activities are certified as per ISO standards 9001 & 14001 for quality and environment

The circular track is constructed with an inner lane of polished, low-friction ice. Outside, it has a section of plowed ice with a higher friction, offering a range of different surface characteristics in the same track.
The standard radius of the circle is 120/150 meters (inner/outer) with a track width of 30 meters, but this can be adjusted upon the request. We can also construct custom-made circular tracks with varying size for exclusive use.
